To foster a dynamic and engaging academic environment while promoting collaborative learning across student cohorts, the Faculty of Foreign Languages officially launched the “Golden Bell Challenge 2026” competition. More than a test of students

From the the beginning of the competition, the auditorium was filled with energy as contestants took to the stage with determination and enthusiasm. As they progressed through increasingly challenging rounds of questions spanning a wide range of subjects, students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages engaged in an intense battle of knowledge, delivering a thrilling contest marked by quick thinking, resilience, and impressive academic performance.

The contestants' perseverance, extensive knowledge, and unwavering determination, combined with the enthusiastic support of their fellow students, created a truly vibrant academic atmosphere. The competition was filled with excitement, suspense, and spirited interaction, demonstrating that intellectual challenges can be both engaging and meaningful while fostering a strong culture of learning within the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

This year, the question bank for the “Golden Bell Challenge 2026” received widespread praise from both academics and students for its breadth and quality. Rather than focusing solely on language studies, culture, and literature, the competition featured a well-rounded set of questions covering current affairs, history, geography, and essential soft skills. This comprehensive approach not only challenged contestants' academic knowledge but also encouraged them to develop a broader understanding of the world and strengthen the interdisciplinary competencies required in today's global environment.

Dramatic turning points unfolded throughout the contest as contestants tackled challenging English-for-Special-Purposes questions, thought-provoking brain teasers, and intellectually demanding scenarios. On several occasions, the competition hall fell into tense silence as participants weighed their answers, only to erupt in applause and excitement when the correct responses were finally revealed. The dynamic format kept both contestants and spectators fully engaged, making for a memorable and intellectually stimulating competition.

One of the competition's most heartwarming highlights was the rescue round, in which faculty members and student volunteers stepped in to support the contestants. As the number of participants on the competition floor gradually dwindled following a series of highly challenging elimination questions, lecturers enthusiastically took part in physical challenges and traditional games to earn the opportunity to bring their students back into the contest. This meaningful segment showcased not only the excitement of the competition but also the strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support that defines the Faculty of Foreign Languages. The teachers' wholehearted participation transformed the event into more than just an academic contest—it became a celebration of mentorship, teamwork, and the close-knit bond between lecturers and students.

As the competition entered its final stages, the race to claim the Golden Bell Champion title became increasingly intense. The remaining contestants confidently raised their answer boards round after round, demonstrating exceptional knowledge, composure, and determination under pressure. A spirited yet fair contest unfolded between students from the K19 and K20 cohorts, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. With each question, the lead shifted unpredictably, creating a dramatic finale that perfectly captured the excitement and prestige of the Golden Bell Challenge 2026.

In the end, the competition crowned its most outstanding contestants, whose exceptional knowledge, composure, and perseverance earned the admiration of both the audience and the judging panel. Their remarkable performances reflected not only academic excellence but also the confidence, resilience, and intellectual curiosity that the Faculty of Foreign Languages strives to cultivate in every student:

• First Prize: Truong Bao Huy, a K19 student from Class 23DTQ1

• Second Prize: Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, a K19 student from Class 23DTQ1

• Third Prize:

  • Phan Ngoc Nhu Y – K19, Class 23DTQ2.

  • Nguyen Ngoc Huynh Nhu – K20, Class 24DTA2.

In addition to the individual awards, the Collective Award for the student union chapter with the highest level of participation was presented to Class 23DTQ2. This recognition reflected the class's exceptional team spirit, strong sense of unity, and enthusiastic engagement, highlighting the collaborative culture that lies at the heart of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
